To strengthen our international sales team at SYKATEC – an Innomotics Business, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Technical Sales Expert for our site in Sibiu, Romania.

SYKATEC stands for innovative sheet metal processing, wiring solutions and demanding component manufacturing. With our sites in Germany and Romania, we combine technical expertise, industrial production know-how and customer-oriented solutions.

Our portfolio includes, among others, sheet metal parts, cable harnesses, busbars, sealing strips, welded, coated and milled components as well as assembled modules and systems

Our goal is to secure and further develop existing customer relationships while also growing in new markets. In this role, you will support existing customers, manage commercial and technical sales activities, coordinate offers and actively acquire new customers for our plants.

You will be part of an international sales organization with colleagues in Romania and Germany, supported by Sales Support and Project Management teams at both locations.

Your responsibilities

• Manage and develop existing customer relationships
• Act as a key contact person for customer-related commercial and technical topics
• Support customers with inquiries, offers and general sales activities
• Prepare, coordinate and follow up quotations in close cooperation with Sales Support, Finance, Engineering, Production and Management
• Actively acquiring new customers in existing and new target markets
• Identify new industries, market opportunities and potential customers
• Build and maintain a sustainable opportunity pipeline
• Represent customer requirements internally and SYKATEC externally in a professional manner
• Monitor market and competitor activities and derive new sales approaches
• Support price and contract negotiations
• Participate in customer meetings, trade fairs and networking activities
• Provide regular reporting on customer activities, opportunities and market developments

Your profile

• Successfully completed technical studies or a comparable technical education with strong commercial understanding
• Several years of experience in technical sales, ideally in the sheet metal processing industry, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, component manufacturing or a comparable industrial environment
• Experience in both existing customer management and active new customer acquisition
• Strong technical understanding and the ability to translate customer requirements into concrete solution proposals
• Confident appearance, critical thinking, decisive and strong communication skills and negotiation ability
• Structured, independent and goal-oriented working style
• Strong motivation to develop new customers, markets and business opportunities
• Team player with the ability to work in an international sales environment
• Very good English skills: German skills are an advantage
• Willingness to travel on demand, especially to customers, trade fairs and between the Sibiu and Nürnberg sites
