Your Future Role

As the Plant Procurement Manager, you will lead the procurement team supporting the Norwood Motor Factory and play a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted production through effective materials management, supplier performance, and operational purchasing execution.

 

You will provide day-to-day leadership to a global team of five procurement professionals, including team members based in India, while managing an annual purchasing volume of approximately $50M across a global supply base. This role is focused on operational procurement excellence, ensuring material availability, inventory optimization, supplier delivery performance, and production continuity.

 

Working closely with Commodity Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams, you will drive procurement performance through effective planning, supplier management, process improvement, and team development.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead, coach, and develop a global procurement team of five direct reports, including team members based in India.
  • Manage day-to-day operational purchasing activities to ensure material availability and production continuity.
  • Drive procurement KPIs related to inventory, supplier delivery, quality, cost, and service performance.
  • Manage inventory forecasting, material planning, replenishment, and capacity planning processes.
  • Develop and maintain part-level inventory stocking and replenishment strategies.
  • Build and manage supplier relationships across a global supply base to meet delivery, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Partner with Commodity Management and cross-functional teams to execute sourcing strategies and support plant requirements.
  • Identify and resolve material shortages, supply risks, and delivery issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory optimization, supplier performance, and process efficiency.
  • Leverage SAP, data analytics, and reporting tools to improve procurement performance and decision-making.

 

Your profile.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of procurement, materials management, or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience, including managing global or geographically dispersed teams.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations through operational purchasing and materials management.
  • Strong SAP MM/PP knowledge and experience.
  • Experience managing supplier performance, material availability, and inventory planning.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Proven success driving continuous improvement and delivering measurable business results.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with suppliers and teams in India and China.
  • Experience leading global or distributed teams.
  • Knowledge of forecasting, S&OP, and inventory optimization.
  • Experience leveraging Power BI, AI-enabled analytics, or digital procurement tools to improve forecasting, supplier performance, and inventory management.
  • CPSM, CSCP, APICS, or related certification.

 

The pay range for this position is $104,400 - $179,000. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
