TITLE		Material Handler I

PURPOSE	MH	Under close supervision pull, prepare, stage, store, load, unload, replenish, removal of packing material.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES	MH	Perform housekeeping and 5S activities adhering to all Siemens safety and work practices.

	MH	Organizing work area for orderliness at all times, including sweeping, dusting, mopping and floor scrubber as required

	MH	Ensure work area is accessible and safe for internal employees and customer traffic.

	MH	Adhere to all Company policies and operational processes and procedures.

	MH	Knowledge of all duties will be cross functional but specific duties may be assigned.

	MH	Inspect for damage and compare inbound/outbound shipment to packing list and bill of lading to ascertain that quantities, destination and processing are correct.

	MH	Identify discrepancies and questionable conditions related to task and communicate to appropriate personnel.

	MH	Load and unload material onto transports and trucks.

		Make deliveries and pick ups with company vehicles

	MH	Transfer, load and assist with rigging of material on the manufacturing floor and on trucks with the use of pallet jacks, cranes or other equipment.

	MH	Pull, prepare and stage job material in assigned manufacturing work cells or staging areas to include material presentation.

	MH	Remove and dispose of packing, scrap, material, skids and cardboard, etc., in production, storeroom and Receiving.

	MH	Assist in the clean up and breakdown of drives prior to shipment as necessary

	MH	Perform cycle counts as required.

	MH	Assist in training new employees as directed.

	MH	Work overtime as required.

	MH	May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

EDUCATION	MH	High school diploma or equivalent required.

KNOWLDEGE	MH	Basic material handling experience preferred.

EXPERIENCE	MH	Previous material handling experience preferred, but not required.

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS	MH	Supervisors, Team Leaders, Quality, and other internal departments

QUALIFICATIONS	MH	Possess a valid driver's license
	MH	Good written and oral communications skills
	MH	Basic math skills
	MH	Problem solving skills
	MH	Frequent lifting is required.
	MH	Basic computer skills preferred.
