Head (w/m/d) of Functional Excellence Procurement

We are looking for a Head (f/m/d) of Functional Excellence Procurement to join our team.
In your role, you have the full ownership of procurement- and logistics-related tools, processes, and standards as well as authority to define system governance, workflows, and compliance rules within the procurement domain. You are direct report to Chief Procurement Officer (CPO).
Your Future Role
- Ensure that all procurement and logistics-related policies are defined, implemented, and regularly monitored for compliance and relevance.
- Own the governance, development, and continuous improvement of core procurement IT systems such as SAP Ariba, EDI, WebCIS, sourcing decision tools, and supplier master data management.
- Maintain and enhance dashboards and reporting tools to provide transparency on procurement and logistics KPIs.
- Lead and standardize supplier management frameworks across the organization, including risk management, supplier segmentation, and performance tracking.
- Act as process owner for cross-divisional standardization and efficiency programs in procurement and logistics.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and align functional excellence with evolving regulatory and business needs.
- Collaborate with IT to ensure stable, reliable operation and integration of SAP-based procurement and logistics systems.
- Work jointly with Division Procurement Heads, Indirect Procurement, and Strategic Logistics to continuously enhance methods, tools, and digital platforms.
- Support the Sustainability and Compliance teams in providing supplier-related data for ESG, CBAM, CSRD, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Align with Finance and Controlling to ensure data integrity for cost tracking and productivity reporting.
Your Profile
- University degree in business administration or similar
- Long-term experience in procurement
- Leadership experience
- Comprehensive experience in methods, processes and controlling
- Ideally, knowledge regarding digitalization
- Strong customer orientation and mindset of continuous improvement (KVP)
- Ability to foster a high-performance team culture, encouraging ownership, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration
- Very good English and good German skills
