We are looking for a Head (f/m/d) of Group Accounting and Reporting to join our team. 

 

Your Future Role

 

  • Functional and disciplinary leadership of the Group Accounting team, as well as its continuous development.
  • Responsibility for the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS, including the notes and management report.
  • Oversight, execution, and continuous improvement of the entire consolidation process, including intercompany reconciliations and subsidiary reporting.
  • Ensuring group-wide IFRS compliance, continuous development of the IFRS accounting manual, and expert evaluation of complex accounting matters (e.g., M&A transactions, impairment tests).
  • Preparation of tailored financial reporting for investors, shareholders, and supervisory boards.
  • Primary contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities during annual audits.
  • Providing solutions to complex operational and accounting queries for executive management and the CFO.
  • Ongoing optimization and automation of consolidation and closing processes, alongside the digitalization of accounting workflows.

 

Your Profile

 

  • University degree in Economics, Business Administration (focus on Finance/Accounting), or a comparable qualification
  • A completed CPA, ACCA, Auditor exam (Wirtschaftsprüferexamen), or CINA is a strong plus
  • Long-term experience of solid experience in Group Accounting within an international company or in audit at a public accounting firm (Big 4 / Next 10)
  • Experience in a private equity-backed company is a plus
  • Proven experience in functional and disciplinary team management, paired with an appreciative and encouraging leadership style
  • Confident leadership personality with clear communication, an entrepreneurial mindset, strong execution power
  • Excellent, in-depth knowledge of IFRS financial reporting standards, as well as hands-on experience with consolidation and ERP systems (e.g., CCH Tagetik).
  • Analytical mindset, high affinity for numbers, hands-on attitude, structured and independent working style, combined with strong assertiveness.
  • Business fluent in English (written and spoken); German language skills are an advantage
