SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Educational Qualifications and Experience

Engineering degree in Electrical with minimum 4 to 6 years of experience. At least 3 to 4 years’ experience in EHV substation.

Functional Skills

Having experience in Aluminum Smelter (Switchyard & Rectifier)) is added advantage.
Having experience in operation ,maintenance & testing of ABB make 400KV/220KV SF6 breaker & Power transformer (Up to 750 MVA)
Testing & commissioning of ABB make high current (85KA) Rectifier system
Having certificate of Electrical Supervisor of Competence (HT) issued by Odisha Electical licensing board.
SAP knowledge is desirable
Knowledge in advance/latest tool techniques.

JOB PURPOSE :
To ensure Uninterrupted DC power by effective Maintenance, utilization of equipment’s and manpower and other resource.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountabilities	Major Activities	Key Performance Indicators
To ensure Uninterrupted power supply to potline by effective utilization of equipment’s and manpower and other resources.	Rectifier and switchyard PM & daily checklist review and ensure compliance of all observations. Checking of Alarm in PP, same in Logbook Active participation in QC, Kaizen, Cashe & six sigma projects Immediate respond & Handling of emergency situations such as Unit tripping, power failure, blackout as per emergency SOP. Ensure good operational control over all the parameters for achieving best conversion efficiency. Proper coordination for Switchyard isolation / deisolation. Site audit to ensure healthiness of switchyard equipment’s through LLF.	100% DC Power Availability Zero Rectifier Unit tripping. Asset Availability Achieve Conversion Efficiency as per BP target
Cost Control	Inventory control by proper O&M practices. Minimizing idle running of Aux during unit shutdown and idle running of office equipment’s.	Spare required list to be circulated.
AO	Ensure observation compliance of AO related	All lifting tools availability and compliance monthly & quarterly checklist.
Health, Safety and Environment	Ensuring safe working conditions for equipment and people. Compliance of safety audits and prepare action plans. Implement 5S system for workstation. Ensuring access control to rectifier area. Special TBT, Common TBT & job specific TBT Reporting & compliance of UA/UC/NM/Environment. Site audit to ensure no transformer oil spillage.	Zero Injury. 100% compliance of safety audit observations.
