Qualifications required: - Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from recognized university with one-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety (PDIS)

Experience required for the Job: 7 to 12 Years should have good experience in Industrial Safety

Industry Preference: Metal / Steel/ Aluminium/ Mines/ Power plants/ Power Transmission / Substation Projects/Electrical manufacturing

Job purpose & Scope:  To implement EHS and Sustainability management system in IPM, Solution and Service sites.

Job Description:

  1. Ensure EHS related legal compliance includes The Factories Act, 1948 and rules made there under, BOCW, Central and state pollution control Laws, PESO etc.
  2. Preparation, monitoring & implementation of Environment and sustainability policies and Key Performance indicators.
  3. Implementation of EHS framework and practices for achieving zero Harm objectives.
  4. On time implementation, monitoring and reporting of EHS management system.
  5. Fulfilling statutory requirements pertaining to EHS.
  6. Implementation of Water and energy Resource Management system.
  7. Develop pollution and waste control/prevention and recycling programmes (Air, Water, Noise, Soil and Waste)
  8. Ensuring operation emission parameters are always within regulatory requirements
  9. Monitor Hazardous waste and Non Hazardous waste collection, segregation and proper disposal as per regulatory requirements.
  10. Person should be well versed and able to manage EHS and ESG requirements of Construction sites, Factories, ware house, offices and Contractors. 
  11. Ensuring submission of various returns like EPR, Hazardous wastes, Environment statement etc.   
  12. Ensure compliance related to Fire department and ensuring maintenance of firefighting equipment’s.
  13. Ensuring employees periodical health checkup.
  14. Ensuring periodical lifting equipments and pressure vessels testing and record maintenance.
  15. Organizing environment monitoring like work zone air, stack emission, illumination level, noise level etc.
  16. Organizing first aid trainings. 
  17. Organizing and conducting safety committee meeting to evaluate the compliance and resolve the issues.
  18. Preparation / reviewing of onsite emergency plan and conducting mock drills.
  19. Ensuring work permit system and SOP is implemented.
  20. Organising safety induction trainings, and specialized trainings.
  21. Able to handle multiple project ensuring zero harm.
  22. Implementation of EHS manual, policies and safe operating procedures and practices.
  23. Investigation, Reporting and analysis of accidents/incidents/near misses/dangerous occurrences.
  24. Knowledge of Risk assessment methodology like, HIRA,HAZOP ,JSA.
  25. Through knowledge of root cause identification tools like why- why analysis, 8D ,fault tree analysis.
  26. Knowledge of 5S system.
  27. Conducting competitions/contest for creating awareness amongst employees. 
  28. Ability to assist, lead and coordinate Site and Project Managers in minimizing EHS risk through day to day monitoring the unsafe observation and rectification.
  29. Ability in Selection, inspection and discarding PPE and T&P. Review PPE matrix, quality of PPE, stock and ensure awareness and usage.

 

  1. Prepare monthly safety activity planner based on site activities and ensure all activities are conducted accordingly.

 

  1. Facilitate to ensure implementation of customer safety rules and regulation as per Contract Documents.

 

  1. Ensure Implementation of site safety plan, monthly EHS drive/safety campaign and assess monthly & improve.

 

  1. Prepare, conduct and record the training programs based on training need and approved training matrix.

 

  1. Ensure all new employees coming on board are trained on Innomotics & Customer safety guidelines & respective work instructions.

 

  1. Ensure all incidents, accidents, near-miss, first aid cases are reported, investigated and corrective/ preventive actions are implemented as per guidelines.

 

  1.  Ensure safety committee conducted, attendance sheet, minutes of meetings, and reviews are being prepared, circulated and recorded.
