Automation Engineer Responsibilities

Job brief: Looking for a Self-Driven Engineer to design, develop, implement and commission Automation (PCS7, TIA) based solutions.
Candidate with following criteria
- 5-8 years’ relevant experience using PCS, TIA.
- Qualification: B.E Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation.
- Functional Area: Implementation / Application Deployment/ Commissioning
- Role Category: Automation Specialist
Main responsibilities
- Create automation architecture based on customer inputs.
- Capable to create Hardware drawings / layouts.
- Capable to create / customize library objects as per project requirement.
- Logic development as per project need.
- Configure HMI inline with project drawings.
- Able to manage integrated Factory Acceptance test (IFAT) for the configured portion.
- Capable to interface with third party devices on different industrial protocols.
- Be an integral part of commissioning, either at site or from remote.
- Handling changes / variations in an organized manner. Ensuring no time / cost impact on project.
Mandatory Skillsets:
Well experience PCS7, TIA user, hands-on user of Microsoft Office, knowledge of Automation software & hardware concepts, able to work independently from remote.
Requested Competence / Experience
- Good understanding of automation architecture, Hardware design & Software.
- Basic understanding of Electrical SLD’s would be an added advantage.
- Decent application knowledge Metals, Mining, Cement, Oil & Gas
- Should have executed atleast two big projects using Siemens Automation system.
- Advanced level competence with PCS7, TIA portal.
- Scripting knowledge would be added advantage.
- Capable to interface (import / export) with other automation / design tools.
- Good communication skills
- Comfortable to work in multicultural environment.
- Good team player.
