Your Future Role 

 The Electro-Mechanical Technician provides support to the Innomotics Kansas City Facility. Must become a member of the local collective bargaining unit upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Connect wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
  • Cut wire to specified lengths and route, twist, wrap, tie, and attach wire to terminal points.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, reassemble components as required.
  • Duties may consist of, but not limited to, working from production blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts lists, wire lists, sketches and verbal instructions to produce electrical or Electro-Mechanical subassemblies.
  • Frequently required to use fine motor skills, assembling some small parts with excellent dexterity.
  • Dismantle, inspect, repair, connect, reassemble, and test apparatus and a variety of electrical and mechanical apparatus of complex design and construction where general methods and procedures are not clearly defined.
  • Wind, insulate and connect all types of AC and DC motors, generators, and other electrical apparatus where procedures are generally not established, where manufacturing information and specifications may not be available and where planning and diagnosing is required for repair.
  • Tools & Equipment: Cranes, electrical and mechanical measuring devices, precision measuring tools, test equipment and meters, drill press, saws, power and hand tools, filter press, torches, industrial trucks, ductor, growler, brazing, soldering and welding equipment, coil winding equipment, shears, band saw, wire cutters, wedges, crimping tools, hi-pot tester, test boards, surge testers,

megger and miscellaneous electrical and mechanical meters, gauges, indicators, hydraulic presses, required safety equipment, etc.

  • Materials: Insulation materials, gasket material, paint, cement, brass, copper, aluminum, steel, iron, hardware, oil, grease, bearings, assorted hardware, tapes, pressboard, wedges, compounds, wire, cable, micarta, banding wire, solder, flux, etc.
  • Direction of Others: Guide and direct the efforts of assisting personnel.

 

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience working in related field
  • Completion of a High School Diploma
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Welding experience
  • Experience with electrical systems
  • Hydraulic experience
  • A high working skill knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and machine shop activities is required. Knowledgeable with established layout and wiring practices.

The pay range for this position is $38.30. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
