Our Asia Pacific and Middle East Meta Region consists of 16 countries and is a dynamic and fast-growing region, with functions including sales, pre-sales, portfolio development, and services in its remit, as well as enabling functions.

Middle East is one of the emerging markets and a growing region within the APAC & ME Meta region. This position will report to APAC & ME CFO and In-Country reporting to Middle East CEO. 

Location: This position will be based out of UAE.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • The Lead Country CFO adopts local policies, guidelines and procedures based on superior financial strategy and guidelines and governs the local financial management of the assigned countries
  • Supports the accountable CEO collaboratively for the assigned country organization (UAE, KSA, Qatar & Kuwait) with full operational for all commercial and financial management of the organization
  • You will have the ultimate responsibility for the integrity of books and records, and an effective Risk Management and Internal Control System
  • You will contribute fully to develop the company strategy across all business areas, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate, and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers
  • Ensure that company financial systems are robust, and compliant and support current activities and future growth
  • Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including customers and advisors.
  • Financial Planning and Controlling of all relevant business and support processes, as well as to differing degrees, financing, tax, cash and capital management
  • Collaboration in complex bids or tenders and controlling sales and service organizations, contract and claim management, and controlling of manufacturing operations and logistics, which entails also overseeing strategies for areas like strategic procurement, IT, or facilities
  • Acts as a trusted Partner of the CEO and the organization’s management team, collaborates in the formulation of the strategy and in the achievement of strategic and business objectives. 
  • A vivid interest in and deep understanding of the business and the portfolio is therefore key prerequisite
  • Acts as “voice of the Region” within the global organization and thus drives innovation as well as end-to-end improvements across divisions and support functions in collaboration with global functions and businesses. Fosters cross-boundary dialog
  • Represents Innomotics in front of external stakeholders in coordination and as partner of the CEO
  • Acts as Investors’ Advocate by protecting the assets and driving sustainable value creation, e.g., by supporting, yet carefully reviewing relevant investments in e.g. M&A or R&D, periodically evaluating the portfolio of his/her entity, and leading Initiatives to reduce the Asset base
  • Work with and support the global teams in driving finance initiatives, including timely resolution of identified audit matters and  other business  requirements
  • Make people development, succession planning and diversity as a personal priority
  • Guarantee adequate reporting and performance controlling of KPI's
  • Serves as a Role Model for the financial community and beyond by living and promoting ownership culture

Key Task:

  • Commercial & Finance responsibility for the Innomotics companies in the Middle East consisting of Product, System, and Service business, with a total business volume of approx. 100 Mio Euro.
  • CFO of UAE/Qatar/Kuwait and responsible for the entire operation including day today activities
  • Accountability for annual budget and monthly forecast process in close cooperation with all the assigned countries
  • Support & develop the Innomotics business together with the CEO. Responsibility for transparent and sound financial statements in compliance with local / FRG accounting standards
  • You will advise, control and coordinate the financial activities of the business. You are responsible for the integrity of books and records, for an effective risk management and internal control system
  • Cost controlling, deviation analyzes, and business cases
  • Provision of financial guidance and support to ensure a robust financial control environment and conformance with accounting policies
  • Ensure activities comply with legal, professional, and ethical standards, and that financial processes and controls comply with all legal requirements
  • Enhance management information to support and implement both operational and strategic decision-making
  • Liaison with the organization's internal & external auditors providing relevant supporting documentation as required 
  • Find business measures to achieve business opportunities and increase profitability
  • Evaluation of credit management and business process outsourcing

External – Shareholders of UAE/Qatar/Kuwait/Saudi Arabia, Customers, Suppliers, Government Authorities, Partners / Agents, Audit

 

What you bring

  • You have a Post Graduate Degree in Finance or a Certified Chartered Accountant
  • 15+ years of work experience and a successful track record as a leader in finance/accounting with local and global responsibilities
  • You enjoy building trusted relationships and have strong interpersonal skills at all organizational levels
  • You understand the principles of controlling and internal accounting procedures and can apply them, considering legal and tax requirements
  • Have strong operational experience in leading a finance function (performance & financial controlling and management accounting) for an international organization with exposure to multiple geographies – ideally for a regional legal entity in a project, sales, and service environment
  • Have deep knowledge of financial guidelines/standards to ensure proper accounting, controlling, and reporting both in IFRS and local financial guidelines
  • Preferably with experience working and living in other regions with comparable complex conditions
  • Excellent communication skills rounded by a proven track record for leading Teams successfully.
  • Expertise in local and regional markets and customers
  • Have a deep understanding of support processes e.g. strategic procurement, facilities, order management, logistics, warehousing, tax, etc.
  • Are capable of successfully managing multiple priorities and reporting requirements
  • Are proactive, dynamic, decisive & results oriented. As well as collaborative and a team player with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
