We are looking for a Trade Finance Professional (f/m/d) to join our team at Innomotics.

Your Future Role  

As Trade Finance Professional, you will take ownership of the end-to-end lifecycle of trade finance instruments globally, including Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, Standby Letters of Credit, Surety Bonds, and related instruments. You will work closely with local business teams, banks, and headquarters stakeholders to ensure smooth issuance, amendment, tracking, compliance, and closure of all trade finance transactions. 

In this role, you will serve as a key coordination point between Business Units and Financial Partners, ensuring transparency through regular reporting, alignment on priorities, and close cross-functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Act as the primary point of contact globally for business units, financial institutions, and HQ stakeholders on all trade finance issuance and amendment matters. 
  • Manage the full process lifecycle for trade finance instruments, from request intake and validation through issuance, amendment, monitoring, and closure. 
  • Review and prepare LC, BG, SBLC, and Surety Bond requests, supporting documentation, and bank-specific formats in line with business requirements. 
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to obtain all necessary approvals, supporting documents, and clarifications in a timely manner. 
  • Submit issuance and amendment requests to banks via banking portals, email, SWIFT-related channels, or other approved communication methods, and follow through until completion and confirmation. 
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, bank requirements, and applicable local and international trade finance regulations
  • Monitor validity, expiry, renewal, and return/closure status of trade instruments; maintain accurate registers and proactively escalate upcoming renewals, claims, or risk items. 
  • Liaise with banks and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, claims, document issues, and payment-related matters efficiently. 
  • Collaborate closely with HQ Treasury and other global stakeholders to align processes, reporting standards, and governance requirements. 
  • Identify and drive opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and automation across trade finance operations and reporting.  
  • Collaboration with Regional treasury HUB in Serbia, covering all Treasury activities for Europe, Africa and Middle East.

 

Your Profile  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, Law or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years experience in trade finance, corporate banking or international trade operations (experience with letters of credit, guarantees and export documentation required).
  • Practical knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP and commonly used trade practices; awareness of ICC rules for guarantees appreciated.
  • Strong understanding of AML/KYC and sanctions screening in cross-border trade.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to work under deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills (internal teams, clients and correspondent banks).
  • Proficient in English  (both written and spoken). Additional regional languages are a plus.
  • Experience with Excel, reporting, and data handling; familiarity with SAP, ERP platforms, or treasury systems is an advantage. .
  • Team-player who is proactive, organised and solution-oriented.
