The role.
We are seeking an experienced Indirect Category Manager to oversee and optimize procurement strategies for services and goods, travel and fleet, IT, and real estate across our operations. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, a track record of cost control, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for services and goods, travel and fleet, IT, and real estate for USA and Canada.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
- Monitor and control indirect spend budgets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to achieve financial targets.
- Analyze spending patterns and market trends to optimize procurement processes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure compliance with contract terms and service level agreements.
- Identify potential risks related to indirect procurement and develop mitigation strategies.
- Continuously review and improve procurement processes and systems.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work closely with other departments such as finance, IT, HR, and operations to understand their needs and ensure alignment with procurement strategies.
- Support the implementation of company-wide initiatives and projects related to indirect spend.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management.
Your profile.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or a related field; a master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
- Proven 5+ years experience in managing indirect spend in a multinational environment.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and multicultural team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- You are fluent in English and Spanish or Portuguese are desirable.
The pay range for this position is $71,300 - $122,300. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
