JOB SUMMARY

The Technical Sales Engineer - Marine Business - will drive growth for LV induction motor opportunities with special focus on Marine, Offshore and Shipyard related business in Korea, Asia and Middle East. This role focuses on providing technical support for Sales by collecting market requirements, preparation of quotations and supporting documentation during execution.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Sales

  • Identify, qualify, and secure opportunities for LV induction motors in marine, Offshore and Shipyard industries.
  • Build and maintain a strong opportunity pipeline through EPCs, OEMs, distributors, consultants, and end-users.
  • Promote Innomotics LV Motors that support replacement, modernization, efficiency improvement, and lifecycle extension of customer equipment.
  • Prepare technical-commercial proposals, negotiate terms, and close high-value contracts.
  • Build long-term relationships with customers, consultants, channel partners, and project stakeholders.
  • Understand customer installed base, operating challenges, and project requirements to position the right retrofit solution.
  • Coordinate with engineering, service, finance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.

Market Intelligence & Strategic Input

  • Monitor competitor activities, industry trends, installed-base opportunities, and customer investment plans.
  • Provide regular market feedback, sales forecasts, and pipeline updates to support management decisions.
  • Support product positioning, marketing campaigns, exhibitions, seminars, and customer events.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain accurate forecasting, opportunity tracking, and sales reporting in CRM tools.
  • Ensure contract execution follows company policies, commercial terms, and compliance requirements.
  • Uphold high standards of ethical sales practice, safety compliance, and professional conduct.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum 2-4 years of sales related experience in industrial electrical equipment, preferably with at least 2 years in motors, drives, or rotating machines.
  • Proven experience managing complex sales cycles, large projects, and high-value contracts.
  • Strong network with EPC contractors, OEMs, distributors, consultants, and industrial end-users is an advantage.

Technical & Commercial Skills

  • Advanced understanding of electrical design, application, and performance.
  • Good knowledge of LV induction motors.
  • Strong commercial acumen in pricing, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of VFDs, generators, automation systems, or lifecycle service solutions is an advantage.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a consultative selling approach.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize opportunities, and manage complex sales cycles.
  • High level of integrity, resilience, ownership, and result-driven attitude.

Other Requirements

  • Willingness to travel for domestic and regional customer assignments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience using CRM systems.
