The role.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ‘Bid Manager (Portfolio Consulting Professional)’ with expertise in geared motors to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing our product portfolio, developing and executing effective sales strategies, and providing technical support to both customers and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bid Management: Oversee the bid process for geared motors, including bid preparation, technical documentation, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
  • Product Management: Manage the geared motor product line, including the introduction of new series, phase-out management, and competitor migration strategies.
  • Technical Consultancy: Provide expert technical support to sales teams and customers, review customer requests for quotations (RFQs), select appropriate portfolio items, and liaise with factories, sales teams, and third parties.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to meet sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and relationship-building with potential customers.
  • Customer Relations: Build and sustain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Cross-Functional Cooperation: Collaborate with technical groups (factories, quotation centers, engineering), sales, customer service, order management, and finance teams.
  • Market Insight: Maintain an in-depth understanding of the product portfolio, industry trends, market conditions, project information, pricing expectations, and competitor activities.
  • Reporting: Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts and reports to management.
  • Industry Representation: Represent the company at industry events, workshops, and conferences to promote our products and services, including conducting customer and internal staff trainings.

 

Your profile.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales or bidding, preferably in the Geared Motor industry.
  • Fluent English speaking, reading, and writing
  • Working as part of a team in a regional (Korea) and international environment
  • Strong technical skills and ability to understand complex technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
