Responsibilities:

The Field Engineer Mechanical travels to customer sites and supports the customers with their installation, maintenance, and warranty work with industrial mechanical rotating equipment in the minerals & mining industries

 

  • Handling all customer and factory related mechanical engineering activities.
  • Preparing support structure fabrication drawings.
  • Execute and advise the customer for trouble shooting of faults and problems
  • on mechanical aspects.
  • Perform on-site installation of systems and equipment and ongoing preventive
  • maintenance, repair and upgrades after installation.

Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services to     troublesome equipment.

             Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives

  • regarding installation, operation, repair, and maintenance at customer's sites.

 

 

 

 

 

Required Skills and Competencies:

5+ years experience on relevant mechanical fields.

Bachelor’s Degree of Mechanical Engineering.

Mechanical Engineer requirements:

1. On-Site Installation and Maintenance: Mechanical Engineer is responsible for inspecting, installation,

maintaining, and servicing mechanical equipment, such as large motors, GMD’s, among others.

2. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: To diagnose and identify mechanical issues and faults, using

specialized tools and equipment, and then implement appropriate solutions. Perform routine maintenance

and inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance.

3. Repairs: Mechanical Engineer conducts repairs on faulty or damaged mechanical components to ensure

proper functioning and optimal performance.

4. Customer Interaction: To interact with the customers, providing technical support, answering queries, and

provide recommendations for improving equipment performance.

5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of service activities, including reports on

installation, repairs, inspections, and maintenance, is an essential part of the job.

6. Safety Compliance: Mechanical Engineer must adhere to safety regulations and guidelines while working

on-site to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Participate in safety audits and risk

assessments.

7. Technical Expertise: Mechanical Engineer needs to stay updated on the latest advancements in

mechanical technology to effectively address equipment issues and implement appropriate solutions.

8. Travel: This role requires travel to different site locations, sometimes on short notice, to attend to service

9. Very good communication and presentation skills with proficiency in Bahasa and English is required.

10. To support sales person and proposal team by providing technical information for creating technical

proposal.

11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

12. Ability to work in various environments, often under challenging conditions.
