PPM Professional (Product Portfolio Manager)

The market for Motor-Drive-System solutions is growing rapidly, and customer demand continues to evolve. To strengthen our Low Voltage division and capture new business opportunities, we are looking for a Product Manager with strong expertise in motor drives and a solid understanding of motors and drive systems.

In this role, you will act as the entrepreneurial owner of the assigned product portfolio. Your mission is to define the right product strategy, ensure a sustainable and profitable portfolio, and support the long-term growth and financial performance of the Motor-Drive-System-Cluster.

As Product Manager, you will help determine “what to sell, to whom, and by when”, while shaping strategic product characteristics and guiding R&D investment priorities accordingly. You will work closely with product management, Sales, and R&D in the countries to translate market needs into a strong and competitive portfolio roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• own the revenue and profit performance of the Motor-Drive-Systems product portfolio within the LV PPM MD cluster, contributing to sales and EBIT targets
• own the revenue and profit performance of the Motor Health Monitoring product portfolio within the LV PPM MD cluster, with focus on product ramp up
• identify and develop market opportunities in close cooperation with local product management teams
• consult our sales partners in technical questions coming from our customers
• define and execute the right product strategy in alignment with the oPLM process and market requirements
• lead low-voltage motor market segmentation activities together with Sales, and R&D
• drive portfolio analysis, optimization, balancing, and strategy execution based on the economic targets of the LV PPM MD cluster
• define the innovation strategy for the Motor-Drive-System Portfolio for INNOMOTICS brand motor portfolio in collaboration with the R&D organization
• define the R&D investment strategy in line with portfolio needs and business priorities
• act as a key interface between market, sales, product management, and development to ensure a coherent and future-oriented portfolio direction

What we are looking for

• more than 5 years of technical work experience in electrical drives and inverter products
• technical experience and understanding of our customers’ applications with need for Motor-Drive-Systems
• technical experience in dimensioning electrical motor and drive systems
• experience in Health Monitoring applications is a plus.
• more than 3 years of experience in product management, or an equivalent background
• strong customer orientation and a proven ability to deliver results
• quick learner with strong business acumen and strategic thinking
• passionate, self-driven, and proactive personality
• strong intercultural communication and collaboration skills
• fluent English is mandatory
• major in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering
