Service Technician – Brisbane, QLD

Innomotics Pty Ltd is a global leader in innovative, energy-efficient products and solutions for industrial customers. Due to continued growth in our markets and increasing workload, our Lifecycle Services division is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our Brisbane repair facility in Mansfield, QLD.

Reporting to the Service Operations Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs, testing, maintenance and service activities primarily within our Brisbane service centre. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical technician to expand their knowledge of large variable speed drives (VSDs), power cells and associated industrial drive technologies, with opportunities for future development within the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the end-to-end repair process, from initial assessment through to completion and return to the customer.
• Carry out repairs, fault finding, testing and maintenance of Innomotics VSD components.
• Support breakdown repair and maintenance activities as required.
• Complete service reports accurately and within required timeframes.
• Provide repair assessments and quotes to customers.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and service records.
• Ensure all work complies with EHSQ policies, quality standards, customer contractual requirements and service escalation procedures.
• Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service delivery.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant safety requirements, technical instructions and operational procedures.
• Ensure tools, test equipment and workshop equipment are maintained and fit for purpose.
• Provide technical feedback and service information to the Sales team, including repair requirements, service opportunities and expected cycle times.
• Provide technical support to the Innomotics Project team when required.
• Manage general logistics activities, including freight bookings and the receipt and dispatch of repaired equipment and stock.
• Take ownership of inventory associated with power cell repairs, ensuring accurate stock control and availability.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• An Electrical Licence and relevant experience working with variable speed drives, electrical equipment or industrial automation systems.
• Experience working in an industrial environment, with strong electrical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Experience with large variable speed drives and associated components is highly desirable.
• A current Australian Driver Licence.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision while taking ownership of assigned work.
• A process-focused approach and the ability to work effectively towards defined KPIs and service targets.
• An understanding of EHSQ requirements, quality processes and continuous improvement principles.
• Knowledge of freight, logistics and general warehousing processes is advantageous.
• Experience with SAP or similar service/ERP systems is advantageous; training will be provided where required.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality and customer service.
